ANNOUNCEMENT: Changes in process of vetting & awarding MKU Scholarships
In a bid to enhance equity in the access of quality tertiary education, and to safeguard transparency in the process of issuing scholarships, Mount Kenya University Foundation (MKUF) wishes to announce changes in the categorization, vetting and awarding of scholarships to students from across all campuses.
The issuance of scholarships will continue with the well-established, noble heritage of enabling students from financially-disadvantaged backgrounds access quality education offered at Mount Kenya University.
The scholarships, which have a more national outlook and emphasis on gender equity, have been broadened to incorporate new categories (not just the financially-disadvantaged). This will enhance equitable access especially to all MKU students who excel in curricular and co-curricular activities.
