Mount Kenya University Foundation is excited to announce the 2025 scholarships is the charitable arm of Mount Kenya University. The Foundation was established in 2017 to co-ordinate several activities that the University undertakes in aid of students, alumni and for community engagement. It’s programs are geared towards harnessing public and private support that benefit the educational, research and community service mandates of the University. The Foundation provides a structured avenue for alumni, friends, corporations, institutions and philanthropists to give gifts and donations.
THE CALL FOR APPLICATION AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Mount Kenya University through the MKU Foundation is glad to call for scholarship applications from ALL eligible undergraduate students studying at Mount Kenya University across all its campuses and centers. This scholarship programme is strictly meant to cover tuition fee. Scholarships valued at Ksh. 7,000,000 in total will be on offer for all beneficiaries.
Scholarship Description
Application Opening Date: Friday, 28th March 2025
Application Closing Date: Friday, 16th May 2025
Intended Beneficiaries: All Undergraduate Students (Certificate, Diploma, Degree)in all modes of study at all Campuses and Centers.
Scholarship Award: Selected students will be awarded a scholarship equivalent to ONE SEMESTER TUITION FEE that will be paid directly to the University.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Scholarship is open to ALL undergraduate (Certificate, Diploma, Degree) students studying at Mount Kenya University irrespective of their nationality, mode of study, campus or centers.
- The student MUST be in session during September – December 2025 semester.
- The student MUST have a good academic record.
- The student MUST have completed one academic year at MKU.
- The student MUST demonstrate that he/she is needy.
- The student MUST have a good disciplinary record, leadership attributes and an impressive participation in co-curricular activities.
