Join DAAD’s ‘Leadership for Africa’ scholarship programme
MKU alumni who are Bachelor’s degree holders are eligible for DAAD scholarships for Master studies in Germany.
The Leadership for Africa (LfA) scholarship programme “aims to support the academic qualification and advancement of young refugees and national scholars from Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Burundi, and Uganda at higher education institutions in Germany.
It is open to qualified applicants in all fields of study except for Medicine (students can apply for Public Health or Biomedical Master related programmes only), Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Fine Arts and Architecture.
“This programme intends to contribute to the education of future leaders, who will be essential for the further development of their home countries,” says DAAD, a German Academic Exchange Service. “Scholarship holders benefit from a complementary training programme in good governance, civil society, and career development.”
The scholarship includes a German language course offered in Germany prior to start of university studies, and a tuition-free M.A. or M.Sc. degree programme at a public or state-recognized university in Germany. In addition, beneficiaries will receive mandatory training programme LEAD!
The deadline for application is June 7, 2024.
