MKU Foundation constructs General Kago Road Funeral Home at Thika Level 5 hospital

MKU Foundation engages with its partners in three distinct ways: Direct issuance of scholarships to continuing students at Mount Kenya University, implementing contract training with partner organizations, and/or joint roll-out of community outreach and development projects.
Some of our current partners include Direct Aid, Education For All Children, Africa Digna Foundation and
Danish Refugee Council. MKUF also partners with Imbuto Foundation- a Rwandan organization
founded by that country’s First Lady Jeannette Kagame.
Through a Public-Private Partnership, MKUF and Kiambu County Government constructed a modern funeral home at Thika Level 5 Hospital. The funeral home serves two purposes: It is used by the community to preserve the remains of their dear departed, and also for training students from the MKU College of Health Sciences.
The funeral home, which has a capacity of about 112 bodies, replaced a dilapidated one that had been erected during the colonial times.
