EVERY year, over 800,000 young Kenyans sit for the national secondary school examination. But only about 20 per cent proceed to university. It is a sorry rate, taking into account the fact that the primary school-to-secondary transition rate is nearly 100%. What is the main cause?
Adequate resources to fund university education. Besides increasing access by way of scholarships to disadvantaged, bright students we are also actively engaged in numerous other causes for social good. They include the construction of the General Kago Road Funeral Home in Kiambu County, and a Police Station near our main campus in Thika town.
