Youth Empowerment
In recognition of the high unemployment rates (64%) in the country, the University created the Graduate Enterprise Academy (GEA) with a 5-year funding of Kshs 40 million. The academy is geared towards creating an enterprising society premised on the fact that “entrepreneurs are not born but are made”. The enterprise academy therefore equips young graduates with requisite practical business management skills. In addition GEA connects the young entrepreneurs to mentors and financial institutions. GEA program has so far trained over 30 young entrepreneurs.
